i was taken advantage of by a man who held enough leverage over my whole family that i was terrified to protest.
i didn’t want any of this.
i can’t afford to be pregnant. i can’t afford to have a child. i can’t afford any of this.
my only option for terminating is finding a way to go to jackson, mississippi for four days to visit the only clinic in mississippi. my life is over if i dont.
i work hard at a terrible, dangerous job, literally putting my life on the line at work. i saved money for the procedure itself since i found out, but i can’t afford a trip to jackson…..i just cant. i have to pay for lodging, a bus ticket, transportation…. mississippi only allows first trimester abortions..im already at 13 weeks and time isn’t on my side.
“bi men w/ women and bi women w/ men don’t count lol” y’all LOVE being clowns huh.. honking your little clown noses.. wearing your size 18 shoes in firetruck red
Even LGBT people are afraid to create LGBT rep half the time because you fucking goblins critique things with LGBT rep so harshly that the second it does something that you personally don’t like it gets treated even worse than the shows that have absolutely no rep in them.
Demonizing every show that is earnestly trying to provide the rep we’ve been lacking is NOT THE WAY TO GET BETTER REP
YEPPPPPPPPPP
(Cough) That nonbinary dating sim the Dream Daddy devs were working on (cough)
I’m nonbinary and I WANTED that game dammit!
the racist one? The racist one that was rightfully criticized for being racist?
the whole post is about op being mad at people for calling out racism and transphobia in office type just fyi
a black girl character growing her hair out long breaks more stereotypes than a black girl character having short hair
a black girl character getting to be soft and fragile breaks more stereotypes than a black girl character being strong all the time
a black girl character being protected and comforted by others breaks more stereotypes than a black girl character having no one to look out for her but herself
a black girl character being considered pretty or cute by other characters breaks more stereotypes than a black girl character being considered unattractive
not everything that is empowering for white girls is empowering for black girls
the sexism we face overlaps, but it is not the same
I’ve met people who will actually argue against this but if your choice is between going hungry and getting fast food or snack food….PLEASE JUST FEED YOURSELF. It is 100% lying, evil, dangerous bullshit that some foods are “so bad for you it’s better to eat nothing.” It is never ever better to go hungry. Malnutrition is more dangerous, more immediately, and more long-term than any consequences of eating a damn twinkie or a cheeseburger.
Today I called a girl homophobic as a joke and she almost started crying
She said “my neighbors are a lesbian couple! I’m the least homophobic person you’ll ever meet”
I said “Kelsea I’m really sorry I hurt your feelings but I need you to know that homophobic people can have lesbian neighbors” and she just got even more distraught and said “I’ve been inside their house and I wasn’t even afraid or anything”
there was always that one kid in fifth grade who had like 50 of those little novelty erasers that they’d take out and arrange on their desk every single lesson but never use and if you even LOOKED at them you were immediately blacklisted as a potential threat from then on
me: hey i forgot my eraser do you have one i could use
the kid sitting next to me with an entire fucking zoo of rubber animals in their pencil case:
even spicier take: “non-binary” means a thousand different things to a thousand different people and therefore anyone of any sexuality could theoretically be attracted to a non-binary person in some capacity, so if you’re gay and someone you’re attracted to says, “i’m non-binary,” you don’t actually have to redefine your entire identity, you can just drink a cup of sleepytime tea and go right on being gay and into non-binary people.
